Medical Laboratory Scientists under the aegis of Young Medical Laboratory Scientists Forum (YMLSF) Cross River State Chapter have held a free diabetes Screening for Students and staff of Hope Waddel Academy in Calabar, the Cross River state capital.
The Free Blood sugar testing was held in the school premises to commemorate the 2019 World Diabetes Day which is themed: the family and diabetes. The group also carried out Blood Pressure check to screen for hypertension as well as held a sensitization talk to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on the family and promote the role of the family in management, care and prevention.
