The leadership of the Young Medical Laboratory Scientists Forum (YMLSF) Ondo State Branch has donated Hand sanitizers to the management of the Infectious Disease Hospital, Akure as part of its contribution to the fight against the pandemic.
Speaking during the donation, YMLSF Ondo State Branch Secretary General MLS Oyekan Joshua hailed the management for the work thus far since the Covid 19 pandemic in the state.
In his words:
The health team have done so well in discharging their sworn duty to care for the sick. Despite the challenges, they did not mind the hazard associated with the job but have continuously ensured the patients gets medical attention.
He added further that the supreme task can only be rewarded by God Almighty.

He advocated that testing centres will be needed across the state in order to trace exposed persons and test them on time in accordance with the NCDC regulations.
He also stated that it important testing centres are manned by skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist professionals who are licensed and duly recognized by the government as experts to carry out the tests.
Receiving the items, the Medical Director ably represented by MLS Mrs Oyelaja, the Deputy Director, Medical Laboratory Services of the hospital expressed appreciation to the Forum for their kind gesture stressing that the Medical Laboratory Science profession is indispensable in modern healthcare delivery and as such the skill is in dire need especially during this COVID 19 pandemic period.
