The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) has condemned the NCDC’s role in accrediting labs for COVID-19 testing, saying the centre had failed to follow the law of the country in area of accreditations.
According to the National President of Association, Dr. Bassey Enya, it is the sole responsibility of MLSCN to accredit Medical Laboratories in the country.
He said: “by law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is the sole responsibility of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) to accredit and establish guideline for labs.”
