The Young Medical Laboratory Scientists Forum present her 4th National Summit and Annual General Meeting which holds from 18th – 19th September, 2020 and will be virtual.
Day One of the Summit will feature Professor Paul Inyang-Etoh of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, University of Calabar. He will be speaking on the topic ‘The MLS perspective to global health security’ . Justin Nwofe will moderate.
Another, Dr. I.N Abdullahi, a Lecturer will do justice to the topic : ‘Exploring research opportunities for MLS in the current pandemic and future epidemics’ from 2-3:20pm. The moderator is MLS. Chibueze Obi-George.
MLS. Abiodun Ogunniyi, an Epidemiologist with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) will speak on ‘Optimizing telemedicine in Medical Laboratory Practice for Covid-19 and future Pandemics‘ from 5:30-6:49pm. The moderator is MLS. Chris Chukwu.
Day 2 will feature MLS. Eke Matthew Sunday who will dwell on the topic: ‘Laboratory preparedness for current and future emerging diseases in Nigeria(The covid-19 experience)‘ from 10-11:20am.
This will be followed by the Forum’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which holds by 3pm of same day .
