Otuabagi to Host Civil Reception in honour of Prof. Teddy Adias, VC FUOTUOKE
Otuabagi, the Ogbia – Bayelsa State Community wherein Crude Oil was first struck in commercial quantity and quality in I956 in Nigeria and West Africa will be agog on the 8th of May, 2021 by 10am as her illustrious Son and worthy Academic, Prof. Teddy Charles Adias will be treated to a grand civic reception on his well-deserved appointment as Vice Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke.
The ceremony which will begin with an inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service, will be climaxed by the Reception proper at the Community’s Playground.
The reception ceremony which will be a display of the rich cultural heritage of the Otuabagi people will have the great Gospel Musician, Amange B. Amange and lots of other musical and Dance performers providing live scintillating entertainment.
Dignitaries from all walks of life such as His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, former President of Nigeria; His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State; Chief Timipre Sylva, Honourable Minister of State(Petroleum) and Former Governor of Bayelsa State; His Eminence, King Dumaro Charles Owaba, Obanobhan of Ogbia Kingdom; Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, Vice Chancellor, Bayelsa Medical University; Sen. B. W. Degi-Eremienyo, Senator representing Bayelsa East in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; King A. J. Nelson Abali, Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee states that other expected esteemed guests to be at the event to honour Prof. Teddy Charles Adias who is Bayelsa’s first Doctor of Philosophy, PhD, holder in Haematology(Blood), former Provost of the Bayelsa State College of Health Technology – Otuogidi and first Ogbia Indigene to be Vice Chancellor of a Federal University, include: Traditional Rulers, Security Operatives, the Clergy, serving and former Political Office Holders, Members of the Academia, Professionals, Women and Youths’ Groups as well as all Men and Women of goodwill.
