The Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists Society of Nigeria (HBTSSN) has launched its first ever official Journal, the African Journal of Laboratory Haematology and Transfusion Science (AJLHTS) amid pomp and splendor.
The Journal was launched during the Opening ceremony of the Society’s Second International Scientific Conference held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory recently.
In a chat with NigerianMedLabScientist, the National Publicity Secretary, HBTSSN MLS. Kenneth Zifawei said “the journal is made up of 1 Review, 6 Original Articles, and Abstracts for the conference. It has 120 pages and costs three thousand naira (₦3000) per copy and is available online with ISBNs for both print and online versions.”
The Journal which is edited by the revered Professor Teddy Adias (Vice Chancellor Federal University Otueke) was launched by Hon. Dr. Dakuku Peterside (Ex-Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency).
Other dignitaries present at the epoch making event were: Professor Anthony Emeribe (ex-Registrar/CEO MLSCN), Dr. Toyosi Y. Raheem (AMLSN Past National President), Prof. Akpotozor, Prof. Ifedayo Ajayi, and others.
