The election and emergence of Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio as president of the 10th Senate is a round peg in a round hole. We congratulate him most heartily and trust that the hallowed upper chamber would benefit from his antecedents for uncommon transformation.
We hope that under his watch, the legislature would maintain it’s independence and bring some checks and balance to the Executive. We also hope that public hearings would be more robust to enrich the quality of proposed bills.
