The Executive Officers of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Chapter have paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Malan Haruna, the acting Secretary of Health, Health, and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS), FCTA.
The visit was led by the Chapter Chairman AMLSN FCTA, Comrade Henry Oshowo recently.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Henry Oshowo praised Mr. Malan Haruna for his many years of experience as an administrator per excellence and for his all-inclusive leadership style since his assumption as the Acting Honourable Secretary, Health and Human Services Secretariat.
He further took the Secretary back memory lane of his warm relationship with the laboratory.
The Association made some germaine demands ranging from adhering to all policies that relate to Medical Laboratory practice and other demands of strategic importance to the profession in FCTA.
On his part, the Honourable Secretary appreciated the Association and Medical Laboratory Scientists for their roles in promoting quality healthcare delivery in the FCT.
He pledged to look into the demands on its merits as the laboratory had remained pivotal in the implementation of quality healthcare delivery in our system
In attendance from the management team at the visit were the Honourable Secretary of Health, Malan Haruna, the Director of Special Duties HHSS Dr. Mathew Ashikini, the representative of HMB DG, and the current Director Clinical and Diagnostics Dr. Gbenga Bello, The Director Medical and Diagnostics HHSS Dr. Amadu, represented by Mr. Ndubuisi Ebitea, the Head MLS HMB, Sir Mike Esom & other principal officers attached to the office of the Secretary of Health.
On the Association side were the Chairman, Comrade Henry Oshowo, Immediate Past Chairman Chuks Okoli, former Chairman & HOD WDH Lab, Mr. Anayo Okafor, Secretary Agbo Henry, Assistant Secretary Abdullareem Sahabo, Treasurer Doris Coker, Financial Secretary Kelvin Eze, Welfare Officer Austin Eke, and yours truly the Publicity Secretary, Patrick Oko.
