A Medical Laboratory Scientist has made history as the first person, first woman and first health worker to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in Cross River State.
She is Mrs. Nkang Magdalene, the Director of Medical Laboratory Services Cross River State.
The vaccine was administered to her by the Commissioner of Health, Cross River State Dr. Betta Edu in the wee hours of Thursday 11th of March 2021 in an occasion to kickstart the vaccination in the state.
The Cross River State government recieved 50,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the Federal Government.
